Hey MIA just some quick suggestions for great spots for FREE LIVE MUSIC. Been real busy and haven’t much kept up in the scene lately but these are the best free shows I know of going on soon reverse chronologically, comment with others or tweet me @ericreator and I’ll feature you if it’s free.
Upcoming we’ve got –
The Space Between Words Release Party on Friday October 15th, with 3 awesome underground local acts, UM alumni brewed beer, and no cover. The lineup filled out by Radioboxer and Telekinetic Walrus and the Pride of Ions is sure to make the near campus venue of Titanic Brewery to burst at the seams. This is a tasty slice of the real Miami music scene.
- Patio Jams as usual next Thursday October 14th at Noon. Matt Pond PA played this past week and definitely rocked it. Fancy Me Yet is playing next, they’re sure to showcase their original tracks, and their beautiful front woman Natasha in a tight 3 piece band that sounds like the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, No Doubt, and Paramore had a baby. Hop on board for a brighter afternoon.
- For an extra classy early evening TONIGHT, I recommend the virtuosity of Emmet Cohen at Books and Books off of Miracle Mile. This jazz pianist is an undergrad here at UM and quite profoundly talented. Check out the event here – Oct 8th 2010, 7-11pm at 265 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables, FL
